Join online for a special presentation will take you on a photographic odyssey through many of the worlds greatest mountain ranges, and explores the ways that human beings have related to these landscapes throughout history. These are enduring stories of meaning and purpose, of peoples aspirations and their sense of what is sacred. Jonathan Duncan has spent over 20 years exploring and documenting the worlds high and wild places. His journeys have taken him throughout the Himalayas, to the Patagonian Andes, the Alaska Range, Antarctica, and the Buddhist mountains of China and Tibet. Jonathan serves as the adjunct professor of Adventure Media & Photography at Westminster College, and teaches courses on the Sacred Mountains of the World and Himalayan Geography through the Osher Institute at the University of Utah. He recently released a new photographic ebookThe Spirit of High Places.

About your instructor:

Jonathan Duncan has over 20 years experience working as a professional adventure photographer and digital storyteller. His work has taken him through many of the world’s most remote landscapes and cultures, and is driven by a passion for wild places and for understanding and communicating the way different people relate to the natural world. He is the creative director for the digital storytelling company Alpine Vision Media, and serves as the adjunct professor of Adventure Media and Photography at Westminster College.
